Welcome to Flames Academy!
A place that goes beyond the realms of being just a dance
school to a community of like-minded individuals with a shared
love for dance and fitness. We come from different
backgrounds, age groups, places and more but are united
by one name – Flamians!

So, what is at Flames for you?
An array of authentic dance and fitness programs designed for
all age groups and to meet the specific needs of our clients.
Which means if you wish to be a trainer, master a dance form,
become a competitor, simply pursue your passion or just de-
stress, we have something for each of you here.

A brief history


Started by Jhalak Dikhlaja fame, Tanushree Rakshit and ex- software engineer and national champion Acrobatic Rock & Roll, Unnikrishnan Sudheer, Flames Academy is a full-suite dance and fitness academy aiming to teach authentic dance and fitness forms to people. Programs

1. Fitness:
Staying fit isn’t an option but a priority. And for those of us who need that added motivation to sweat it out, Flames provides an array of dynamic, non-routine fitness forms that are both fun and calorie-burning at the same time.
2. Dance:
There is no such thing as left feet. Trust us to get you dancing if you believe you have one. And for the rest of you who love dancing, don’t let anything come in the way of a little time every week to hone this love!
Zumba: If peppy music, synchronised movements and high energy is your thing, then Zumba is your go-to fitness activity. A cardio routine that is sure to burn some calories and leave you happy and glowing.
Freestyle: If you wish to explore multiple forms of dance, then Freestyle dance program at Flames is carved out for you. Learn contemporary, hip-hop, bhangra, couple dancing, and other street forms, choreographed to popular songs.
Gymnastics: When you learn the back rolls and handstands, you are simultaneously improving your flexibility, strength, endurance and toning up. And if you think age is a barrier here, we’ve got students from age four to forty-five.
Latin & Ballroom: Learn the nuances of authentic dancesport forms like Jive, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba and Waltz. And if you’d love to, we can get you ready to compete at national and international platforms.
Bollyfit: If you enjoy grooving to Bollywood music then take the Bollyfit way to stay fit. You will never get bored and you’ll lose any extra kilos along with toning up.

Salsa: Everyone falls in love with this dance at first sight. While boosting confidence and killing your inhibitions is an added bonus, Salsa is all about dancing with a partner in style.
Rock & Roll Fitness: Club learning a new dancesport with losing a few pounds and gaining a lot of stamina and strength the Rock and Roll way.
Kathak: The grace of Indian classical forms can never go off-trend. Especially when it comes with the added benefit of bringing in discipline, understanding of rhythm and respect for the Indian culture along with it.
